CDH Offers Free Long-Acting, Reversible Contraceptives

BOISE, Dec. 1, 2022 – Central District Health is offering patients free long-acting, reversible contraceptives, including IUDs, through the end of the year.

Current and new patients in Ada, Boise, Elmore and Valley counties interested in the no-cost program can request a confidential consultation before Dec. 31 at their local clinic by calling Family & Clinic Services at 208-327-7400. Appointments are available at the three CDH clinic locations in Boise, McCall and Mountain Home.

“This program offers women access to some long-term options for their reproductive health at no cost to them,” said Stephanie Myers, CDH Family & Clinic Services division administrator. “The options we’re offering during this campaign are easily reversible, with no impact on the ability to conceive in the future and some can be effective for up to six years.”

CDH’s Family & Clinic Services offers complete physical wellness exams, STI/HIV testing for all community members. Click here to learn more on our website.
