Central District Board of Health to hold regular business meeting on Friday, August 20; discussion to include Board involvement with CDH’s COVID-19 related guidance to communities

Ada County, Idaho — The Central District Board of Health will meet for its next regularly scheduled business meeting on Friday, August 20, starting at 8:30 am. The meeting will be held in person at Central District Health’s (CDH) Armstrong facility, 707 N. Armstrong Place, Boise, ID 83704. The meeting will be streamed live on YouTube. Media and members of the public are encouraged to watch the meeting virtually due to limited seating in the on-site viewing rooms.

The Board’s agenda includes both COVID-19 and regular public health-related presentations and information sharing. Topics will include an introduction of CDH’s new Family & Clinic Services Division Administrator, review of the latest COVID-19 data, followed by discussion on the Board’s involvement in COVID-19 guidance in advance of it being issued to communities. Additionally, the Board will receive an update on the COVID-19 vaccine status and efforts, and a presentation on CDH’s use of social media for community education and outreach.

Public Participation
Meetings are typically held with some Board members attending in-person and some attending virtually. Meetings are streamed live on YouTube for public viewing, and an on-site meeting viewing room is available with limited occupancy and specific health and safety recommendations for in-person attendance.

• Two on-site public viewing rooms are available during board meetings at CDH Headquarters, located at 707 N. Armstrong Place, Boise. Face coverings and six-foot physical distancing are recommended for those in attendance, regardless of vaccination status. No public comments or questions will be accepted during the meeting. The viewing rooms have limited occupancy.
