School Vaccine Clinics

We are committed to safeguarding the health of our community, especially our students, by providing convenient and free school-based vaccine clinics. These clinics aim to promote optimal health among children and minimize the number of sick days they experience.

Parental or guardian permission is a requirement for your student to receive vaccines at a CDH school-based vaccine clinic. To ensure a seamless process, we request that you complete the form below if you would like your student to participate in an upcoming school-based vaccine clinic.

We offer two different types of immunization clinics in schools:

  • School-Required Immunization Clinics – During these clinics, we will provide your student with the immunizations they need for school!
  • School Flu Vaccine Clinics – During these clinics, we are only providing the flu shot for your student!

FAQs

Central District Health offers a Fall Flu Vaccination Program for schools within Ada, Boise, Elmore, and Valley counties. As part of our commitment to ensuring a healthy and safe learning environment, we visit different schools to administer flu vaccines to students. Vaccination is a crucial step in preventing the spread of influenza and reducing absenteeism due to flu-related illnesses.

Influenza, commonly known as the flu, is a contagious respiratory illness that can cause mild to severe symptoms. Children are particularly susceptible to the flu and can experience more severe complications. By getting vaccinated, you protect yourself and help safeguard the health of your fellow students, teachers, and the entire school community. Flu season is typically from October – March every year. It is best to get your vaccine earlier on in the season in order to be as protected as possible.

Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals visits schools to administer flu vaccines to students. All students who participate in the program receive vaccinations free of charge. We encourage parents and guardians to take advantage of this opportunity to protect their children against the flu.
