Beginning July 1, 2025, Idaho law requires CDH to verify the lawful presence of those applying for public benefits through our agency.
The Environmental Health programs impacted by this change are:
- Licenses and permits for food establishments
- Licenses and permits for septic onsite, pumper and installer services
You can review the policy here and then verify your lawful presence online or in person.

Submitting Application for Services
Septic, Accessory Uses, Installer, and Pumper Applications
Please make sure that your applications are filled out completely and all supporting documents are submitted together. Applications may be mailed with a check, dropped off in-person (front desk) or via email.
If sending by email follow these steps:
- Send your completed forms to EHApps@cdh.idaho.gov in PDF format only – other formats will not be accepted.
- Applications must be completely filled out or they will not be accepted.
- Once your electronic applications are received and processed, a CDH employee will contact you for payment. You can pay for emailed applications using a credit or debit card.
- Please check your spam or junk folder if you are expecting communication from us.
