The programs impacted by this change are:
  • WIC applicants who are not on Medicaid, SNAP, or TAFI
  • Clinic services for which a sliding scale is used
  • Licenses and permits for food establishments
  • Licenses and permits for septic onsite, pumper and installer services

Central District Health welcomes Rachel Garceau as new Public Information Officer

CENTRAL DISTRICT HEALTH — Central District Health (CDH) is pleased to announce the addition of Rachel Garceau as its new Public Information Officer (PIO). As PIO, Garceau will be CDH’s main point of contact for all media inquiries and information requests throughout all four counties served by CDH (Ada, Boise, Elmore & Valley). She will be spearheading a variety of internal and external communication projects and marketing initiatives for the agency.

Central District Board of Health to hold regular business meeting on Friday, August 20; discussion to include Board involvement with CDH’s COVID-19 related guidance to communities

The Central District Board of Health will meet for its next regularly scheduled business meeting on Friday, August 20, starting at 8:30 am. The meeting will be held in person at Central District Health’s (CDH) Armstrong facility, 707 N. Armstrong Place, Boise, ID 83704. The meeting will be streamed live on YouTube. Media and members of the public are encouraged to watch the meeting virtually due to limited seating in the on-site viewing rooms.

Department of Health and Welfare, Central District Health, and Idaho Department of Labor partner to offer services at same Mountain Home location

CENTRAL DISTRICT HEALTH (Idaho) — To streamline services and provide a better experience for customers, the Department of Health and Welfare (DHW) is moving its public-facing office in Mountain Home to a shared location with Central District Health (CDH) and the Idaho Department of Labor (DOL). DHW’s office, previously at 2420 American Legion Blvd., will relocate to 520 E. 8th St. N., in Mountain Home, and will begin doing business there on August 17.

Ada County appointment of Raúl Labrador to Central District Board of Health receives approval of county commissioners in public health jurisdiction

Ada County – Central District Health (CDH) has received returned ballots with sufficient approval votes, ratifying the appointment of Raúl Labrador to the CDH Board of Health. Seven votes approving the appointment were required among the 12 total county commissioners from Ada, Boise, Elmore, and Valley Counties. Board of Health vacancy appointments are made at the county level, and not by the Board of Health.
