Anyone 16 and older with at least one medical condition eligible for COVID-19 vaccine on Monday, March 29; vaccine allocations see a 29 percent increase this week over last in Ada, Boise, Elmore, and Valley Counties

CENTRAL DISTRICT HEALTH — Central District Health (CDH) wants to remind residents who are 16-years and older who have at least one qualifying medical condition, that they are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine starting Monday, March 29, 2021. Qualifying medical conditions include those defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Disabilities are also included as a medical condition. The move aligns with the timeline announced by Governor Brad Little earlier this week to make the vaccine available to more Idahoans, sooner. Governor Little also announced that the vaccine will be available to all Idahoans 16-years and older by Monday, April 5. CDH will be in close contact in the coming days with vaccine providers to assess appointment demand among those currently eligible, and determine if CDH’s jurisdiction of Ada, Boise, Elmore, and Valley Counties should open vaccine to all residents who are 16-years and older before April 5.
