Mission:
The primary purpose of the SHOT LINE is to enhance safe immunization practices. The outcome is to increase accountability and safe immunization delivery throughout southwest Idaho by:

  • Promoting a culture and an infrastructure that ensures quality healthcare processes and patient safety;
  • Educating physicians, nurses, medical assistants, school nurses, and child care providers who are responsible for the administration, review or records of immunizations.

Objectives:

  • Provide education to those who are responsible for the administration and delivery of immunizations via the “SHOT LINE.”
  • Identify knowledge deficits from the data collected on calls received.
  • Ensure that the staff and physicians have access to the requirements of national, regulatory and accrediting agencies.
  • Enhance accurate delivery and storage of immunizations.
  • Improve patient safety and prevention of disease.

FREE HEALTH SCREENING

Make your health a priority and attend a free health screening event! Screenings consist of a single finger poke to run a full lipid panel (Total Cholesterol, LDL, HDL, Triglycerides, and Blood Glucose) and an A1C test. Screenings take approximately 20 minutes and participants will leave with a copy of their results. Know your numbers – Get Screened! No appointment necessary, at the Mountain Home Library.
